adidas Skateboarding just dropped ECHOES, a new video featuring Kader Sylla, Zach Saraceno, Jenn Soto, Dre Thebpanya, and Kris Brown, in celebration of the return of the Superskate—one of the first-ever shoes designed specifically for skateboarding back in the late ’70s.
The edit takes us on a trip across New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, San Francisco and Philadelphia, with each skater bringing their own flavor to the mix. But one thing they all have in common? Making the retooled Superskate look right at home in the streets.

“The new Superskate focuses on authentic design details that pay homage to the original while adding subtle, modern upgrades,” adidas mentioned on Instagram.
“Influenced by early basketball silhouettes, the Superskate was released in 1979 as part of the first-ever collection of adidas shoes specifically for skateboarding. It unknowingly paved the way forward.”
