If you weren’t already familiar with Taiga Nagai, Mob Grip’s latest “Grip It and Rip It” installment makes one thing clear—you should be.
This Japanese powerhouse attacks every spot he skates with power and finesse. No terrain is safe! And this might just be a quick little promo clip, these couple of minutes prove Taiga’s not just another up-and-comer. The dude means business! Take a look:
From the skatepark to the streets, Taiga’s bag of tricks is as deep as it is impressive. He’ll tear through a pool, send his grinds and slides from coast to coast, and clearly isn’t afraid to step to some crusty spots all the same.

And although all the park stuff was rad, he really lights up the streets towards the end of the clip, putting his ATV skills and versatility on full display. He’ll flip in and out, he’ll tackle crusty bank spots, he’ll take the slams and he’ll secure the clip!
That blunt bigspin was no joke and that smile on his face says more than words ever could.

Japan has long been hitting us with some of the most exciting skaters in the game recently, and Taiga deserves to have his name on that list. I have a feeling we’ll be seeing more of this ripper in the near future.
He has his foot on the gas, that’s for sure, and he’s not letting up anytime soon.
