At this point in time, when Austyn Gillette drops a video part, you already know it’s going to be heavy. His effortless style, powerful lines, creative approach—the list goes on. The dude is tasteful and gives his video parts everything. And his latest part ‘MEMO,’ presented by RASSVET Skateboards, is no exception. Take a look:
“This part was filmed from September 1st – November 15th in Paris and the rest over maybe twenty days in Los Angeles, so roughly three months of filming for this project,” Austyn mentioned on Instagram.
“A challenge that I really didn’t know how much it would take out of me mentally and physically. I’m very proud to say we got through it and I hope it does something for whoever watches it.”

Rassvet dropped “Blue” last year and it was a breath of fresh air. (Watch it above.) And honestly, I’m getting a similar vibe with Memo. It’s always fun to see what this dude is up to, because there are always more than a few little surprises peppered into his parts.

Austyn has been through a lot the past few years, but his resilience is something to admire. Regardless, when he puts his mind towards something—on and off the board—it’s always a banger. From his creative direction to video parts like this, everything is always top-shelf.
His spot selection and out-of-the-box approach is also something to admire. No blown out spots here! Just the perfect blend of power, talent and creativity. Hey, enough from me, though. Do yourself a favor and hit play—you won’t regret it.
