Tommy Sandoval is as real as it gets. He’s always on the move and continues to inspire countless skateboarders to keep charging. Beast!
In Remind Insoles’ new ‘3 Spot’ series, Tommy hits three different spots—including the first six-stair he ever skated as a kid, which is super rad—and shows us what a typical day of ripping looks like. Press play:

The manny pad warm-up session was rad. Always a proper way to get the blood flowing. Don’t let his video parts fool you, either—Tommy Gunz is a technical wizard!
But again, my favorite part of the day was watching him skate that six-stair. It just looks like a classic childhood spot, you know? It looks perfect, too. Just a bangin’ neighborhood set. If only those stairs and runway could talk!

To cap things off, he takes us to a classic San Diego nine-stair rail—one made famous by the legendary Jason Carney in the 90s—and he jumps down it for old times sake. The nod to Carney was definitely the cherry on top.
Regardless, I love how productive Sandoval still is. He’s had his fair share of injuries, sure, but think of all the mind-melting clips he’s secured over the decades? Not just anyone can tackle the type of terrain Tommy tackles (and has tackled), but the fact that he’s still doing it is what impresses me the most. Maybe it’s the insoles!?
