Some skateboarders let age slow them down. Stu Jacobs is not one of them. At 46, the dude is still taking slams, hyping up the session, and putting out clips that would put plenty of younger skaters to shame.
His new “sponsor me” tape, backed by Uprise Skateshop, is all the proof you need that skateboarding doesn’t come with an expiration date, if you ask me. Get stoked!
“Check out our guy Stu, he puts in the work and the results speak. Through influence or intimidation, he’ll be a serious asset to any team,” Uprise mentions. “Serious inquiries only please—energy drinks, car manufacturers, breweries and dispensaries preferred. Pros of putting a 46yr old on the team? Knowledge and experience, Stu certainly has experience to spare. Cons? Can’t think of any!”
And after watching the part, we certainly can’t think of any, either!

The whole part rips—so many dope spots!—but things really start to heat up during the last minute or so. From some crusty ditch dives to some breezy lines (bloody knees and all), Stu’s all-terrain attack is something to admire.
There’s no shortage of skate videos out there to get folks stoked these days, but when I see skaters like Stu pushing around in the fountain of youth, I will always be inspired. Shoot, it put a little fire under me all the same! Time to step it up!

But in fairness, it’s not just about the tricks, either. Stu embodies what makes skateboarding great, as far as I’m concerned. He hypes up the homies, embraces the slams, and reminds us all that progression truly has no age limit. While plenty of younger skaters burn out or slow down (I’m guilty time and time again), Stu’s still stacking clips and pushing forward. Love to see it!
