Chad Muska launched his first-ever independent shoe release yesterday, April 28th and nearly sold out of every pair overnight. Looks to me like Muska Footwear Co. is officially in business!
No brand backing, no corporate nonsense—just Muska, his vision, and a loyal squad of fans that showed up and came through in a big way. Call it a win. Call it what you want. Doesn’t matter! Muska is already looking ahead, focusing on what’s next. Peep the post below for some kind words from Chad, and get a closer look at the kicks if you haven’t seen ’em yet. Yeah, Muska!

“In just one night I was able to sell most of the inventory and pay off all start up and production costs,” Muska wrote on Instagram. “Now the profits are going to fund three more colors of this shoe and expand to open up my 90’s tech shoe next.”

I had a feeling the shoes would sell quick, but one night!? That’s huge! In a separate post, Muska explained just how big of a project this ambitious endeavor has been:
“This has been an enormous amount of work to get this going (Five years!) and has cost me a chunk of personal money invested to make this happen so my initial costs will be higher to pay off mold and set up fees. If you want to support an independent business with big dreams of making this happen then ride with me on this and hopefully as I grow in units I can bring the cost down.”
Gotta love the transparency!

As far as the future is concerned, you know Muska already has a plan. He wrote, “I have a lot of work left to finish this release and so much more to do after, but I can see a clear path and I’m going to keep pushing straight forward.”
But the real cherry on top was seeing his loose three-year plan:
Year One: Build and Perfect Products
Year Two: Build and Perfect Skate Team
Year Three: High Fashion Shows in Paris

It’s been really exciting watching Muska introduce this new brand, new products and most importantly, this new vision. The gears in his brain are always grinding, and at this point, I’m convinced the dude can truly do anything.
There are a few sizes left on Muska’s site, just FYI. But I bet they’ll be gone by the end of today. So if you want a pair, act fast. This is more than a shoe drop, to be honest. It feels more like watching history unravel right before our eyes. Hit the Muska site and secure your pair! Can’t wait to see what’s next.
