Rob Taro’s ability to document Japan’s thriving scene with such authenticity really sets him apart, and Timescan 2.5 only adds to that notion. Rad spots, great filming, proper soundtrack—it’s all there. And he clearly has an eye for it.
If you haven’t seen TIMESCAN, I added it below. Rob called it “an experimental film” and honestly, that’s pretty fair. It was super out there, but in the best way possible, and featured 30 minutes of incredible skateboarding nonetheless.
There are so many insanely talented skateboarders out there these days. And you could say the same for filmmakers as well. But Taro continues to keep it raw and real with edits like this, carving a path of his own in this sometimes hectic landscape. Watch the edit then dive into the full-length. You’ll be glad you did.
