This Saturday, April 12th in San Diego, girls ages 4–16 are invited to experience a day of skating, community building, and hanging with Olympians and professional skaters at the CA Training Facility. The best part is—it’s completely free!
That’s right! Exposure Skate‘s awesome event, Skate Rising is back in action with another fun learn-to-skate clinic, aimed to uplift young girls and help them grow both on and off the board.

As the Instagram post above mentions, the theme for this month is “Bloom with Confidence,” and it’s all about building self-trust and encouraging perseverance—two things skateboarding provides to all who do it.

Whether your little ripper is stepping on a board for the very first time or just wants to learn some techniques from Olympic skateboarders and professionals alike, one thing is certain—they’ll be in the mix with mentors who know exactly how uplifting (and downright life-changing) skateboarding can be.

Skate Rising is much more than just a day of skating, though. The kind folks at Exposure Skate are also encouraging people to bring toothbrushes and toothpaste to donate to the @sandiegocrc’s emergency shelter for survivors of domestic violence. It’s just one more way these young skaters can learn the value of giving back, which I absolutely love.

What Is Skate Rising?
Skate Rising is Exposure Skate’s Youth Program offered year-round. Each class offers safety equipment, trained coaches, educational supplies and service learning.
We aim for participants to leave each event with newfound confidence, a sense of community and the motivation and tools to support the world around them.
