Every now and then an indie skate video drops that just feels… different. Josh Metzger’s Fantasy Collision is exactly that. It’s a beautifully produced visual postcard of Arizona skateboarding, if you ask me. And it’s well-worth a watch.
Filmed over the course of four years, this full-length gem is a raw, heartfelt, and impressively crafted masterpiece featuring some of the desert’s best. You gotta watch the whole thing, though. So carve out some time and hit play.
It’s only right to mention everyone in the video, so here we go: Nick Papa, Isaiah Ayers, Max Ruhland, Ian Hass, Riley Stevens, Bradley Church, Elliot Sloan, Tom Schaar, Koston Eaton, Brendan Kitterman, Alex Vasquez, Justin Lawson, Nick Fiorini, Mia Lovell, Chocolate Mike, Alex Cervantes, Jagger Eaton, Rad Pinckard, Brandon Cooley, Cody Bellgardt, Jake Miller, Arik Griggs, Francisco Lopez, Cj Bartlett, Kyle Cassady, Miles Canevello, Joel Carillo, Noah Brug, Shane Short, Klay Andersen, Johnrob Moore, Trey Wood, Lazer Crawford, Gabriel Molina, Tyler Wasmuth and Andrew Forrest.

And although some dudes obviously have more clips peppered in than others, each one of these skateboarders bring something special and unique to the table. At any rate, it’s a proper blend of heavy hitters and hometown heroes. One thing they all have in common? They all rip!
With the O’Shea brothers—Buster and Hunter—contributing their signature style (shoutout to the A Happy Medium series, one of my all time favs), you already know the editing and soundtrack are going to have some emotion. Add Ty Evans to the credits, and you’ve got something truly special. Metzger knows how to pick ’em!

The video hits us with that rare balance between homie video vibes and high-end production. The skating is powerful, creative, and full of personality. But so is the filming and editing. Metzger, all the skaters, and everyone involved clearly poured their hearts into this. You can feel it in every frame.
Anyways, I have nothing but positive things to say about the video. And Arizona has always held a special place in my heart.
Again, find the time to watch Fantasy Collision in its entirety. You won’t be disappointed.
