The squad at Vans Skate/Vans Europe just dropped a proper little gem to celebrate Victor “Doobie” Pellegrin’s upcoming signature Old Skool colorway, and they nailed it, to say the least.
The fun little skit is hilarious, super well-crafted, and despite the fact that there’s no skateboarding involved, somehow makes you want the shoes even more! Also, who knew so many skateboarders were such great actors? Doobie is a natural in front of the camera! Take a look:
“Ahhhh the tale of Doobie, once a humble skateboarder from a small French village, now king of the high seas with his own colourway of the Vans Skate Old Skool,” Vans comically writes on YouTube.
“But this isn’t just any shoe; this is the mythical Doobie Skate Old Skool Net, a new take on the classic skate staple.”

Doobie’s ‘Skate Old Skool Net’ drops April 24th at select European skateshops and on Vans.eu. Fingers crossed they make it to the States eventually, but honestly, just seeing Doobie get this kind of shine is rad enough.
He’s one of those skaters that unforgivingly lives and breathes it—no fluff, no filler. Just straight-up ripping. Raw, powerful, stylish, fearless ripping! We watch his video parts from the edge of our seats, you know? The dude just goes all in. Always has.

Getting your own Vans colorway—especially on such an iconic shoe like the Old Skool—is no small feat, either. But if anyone deserves it right now, it’s Doobie.
These things look like they’re ready to be put through the wringer! Bold, rugged and ready to rip. Again, they’re dropping in Europe shops April 24th. Not sure when (or if) they’ll be dropping elsewhere, but keep your eyes peeled and we’ll do the same.
Yeah, Doobie! Seriously, though—watch the skit! Hats off to all involved.
